Valley of the Kings & Begin Sailing to Edfu

After breakfast, cross to the legendary West Bank of Luxor, where Egypt’s most famous royal necropolis awaits. Explore the extraordinary Valley of the Kings, final resting place of the New Kingdom Pharaohs, where beautifully decorated tombs reveal the beliefs, art, and engineering brilliance of Ancient Egypt. Continue to the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, dramatically built against towering limestone cliffs at Deir El-Bahari. Wake up surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the River Nile. This morning visit the magnificent Temple of Horus at Edfu, the best-preserved temple in Ancient Egypt. Dedicated to Horus, the falcon god, this enormous sandstone temple features massive entrance pylons, elegant courtyards, beautifully preserved reliefs, and impressive ceremonial halls. Return to your cruise as it continues toward Kom Ombo. Later, explore the fascinating Temple of Kom Ombo, uniquely dedicated to two gods—Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder.
