Eight relaxed days from Luxor to Aswan and back with full-board comfort and guided sightseeing.
Meet our representative in Luxor and transfer to your 5-star Nile cruise. Complete embarkation, settle into your cabin and enjoy lunch onboard. In the evening, take a horse-drawn carriage ride through Luxor’s streets and taste fresh sugarcane juice before returning for dinner and overnight.
Explore the East Bank with your private Egyptologist. Walk through Karnak Temple’s Great Hypostyle Hall, sacred lake and obelisks, then visit elegant Luxor Temple and the Avenue of Sphinxes. Return to the ship and sail south through Esna Lock.
Visit the restored Temple of Khnum at Esna, admired for its deeply carved reliefs and astronomical ceiling. Continue to Edfu and travel by horse-drawn carriage to the exceptionally preserved Temple of Horus. Return aboard and sail toward Kom Ombo.
Explore the unique double temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to Sobek and Horus the Elder. Examine its symmetrical sanctuaries, medical reliefs and Nilometer, then return aboard and enjoy a scenic afternoon sailing toward Aswan.
Visit the Aswan High Dam, then take a motorboat to Philae Temple on Agilkia Island. Explore the elegant sanctuary of Isis and learn how the monuments were rescued from the rising waters. Return to the cruise and enjoy free time in Aswan.
Depart early for Abu Simbel and stand before the colossal statues of Ramesses II. Visit the Great Temple and the smaller temple dedicated to Queen Nefertari, then return to Aswan and rejoin the cruise. Sail north toward Kom Ombo and Edfu.
Enjoy a slower day onboard while passing palm groves, villages and cultivated fields. Cross Esna Lock and continue toward Luxor. In the evening, the Karnak Sound and Light Show may be booked as an optional experience.
Disembark after breakfast and cross to the West Bank. Enter selected tombs in the Valley of the Kings, visit the terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and stop at the Colossi of Memnon. Transfer to Luxor Airport, railway station or your next hotel.
