Temple of Seti I: Royal Memory at Ancient Thebes

Seti I built this memorial temple near the northern edge of the Theban Necropolis as a place for his royal cult and the worship of Amun-Re and associated deities.

The king died before completion, and Ramesses II finished parts of the monument. Surviving courts, columns, chapels and reliefs reveal both reigns.

Quieter than Luxor’s largest temples, it rewards close looking and fits naturally into a private West Bank itinerary.
